Cambridge 2000: Pembroke College: Grantchester Road: sports pavilion
A fairly typical 1930s building, this is slightly unusual in
that it was designed by the university estate management
division, although it is a college building.
It was refurbished and slightly extended at the back in the
1980s (architect, P.B.D. Sutherland).
More significantly, in 2007-2008 the top floor was converted
to a flat, and as part of that work the non-brick extension
at the front on the right was added (architect, Bobby Open).
It provides accommodation for the person who looks after the
grounds.
