One of three college hostels located in a row on Mount Pleasant. The architect also designed the one just to the east, called The Gables, at around the same time. The one to the west was called Fossdene.
The three buildings were demolished in January / February 2025 to be replaced by five buildings for postgraduate accommodation, designed by BB&C Architects.
