King's College School is private and the grounds are not that different from what would be found in a Cambridge college. It moved to this site in 1878. The school is perhaps best known for its choir.
Fawcett was also the architect for St Martin's, a private residence completed in 1878 and located nearby on Grange Road. This house was acquired by the school in 1952.
