What can one say. Cyclists are directed from the road straight into a signpost, which could easily have been placed on the other side of the ramp (which itself could have been placed further along, but was positioned as shown long before the signpost was put up).
As with many cycle paths on pavements in Cambridge this one is ignored by quite a few cyclists, who would rather cycle on the road. (Although this is one case where many also cycle on the pavement.)
[ And this is not to mention the speed camera (marks on the road at the right) on a road limited to 30 mph for no good reason. Part of control freak Britain. ]
