Cambridge 2000: central area: looking south

Aerial Photos: 27 May 2000: central area: looking south

This is the view of most of the central part of town looking south, with the main road in the middle of the photo being Trumpington Street (and then Road). King's College Chapel is at the bottom right. Some of the awnings of the market stalls can be seen at the bottom in the middle, with the Guildhall just above that. The big buildings near the middle of the photo and bordering the large green area are the Fitzwilliam Museum and above that the Engineering Department. Above that, at the top of the green lawn area, is the Leys School sports hall. The building at the top left is the Cambridge University Press Printing House.
