students. There is also a nursery located in between the two
middle blocks. This is the northern half of the development,
the
southern half
is totally residential. The two residences surround a square
which, for now at least, is used for car parking.
For many years the site was an academic ghetto, with the
Cavendish Laboratory
being the main department located here. Now the city and
university have decided to create this residential ghetto next to
the academic ghetto. Hopefully in time it will start to look more
like a community.
