A wonderful courtyard development. The site contained two
old houses,
which have been well integrated in with the new
build. There are 40 student rooms, five smart meeting rooms
and a 150-seat auditorium (the latter almost a mandatory
requirement for major new developments in colleges because
of conference business). The auditorium has a coffee area
with a beamed vaulted ceiling, and this provides the main
architectural focal point. The courtyard itself,
seen in the photo, takes full advantage of the sloped
southerly aspect.
