St Andrew's Street: Grand Arcade
Three years in the construction, the new Grand Arcade
shopping mall opened in Cambridge on 27 March 2008.
There were crowds waiting to get in, both at this
entrance, and in the larger entrance from inside Lion
Yard.
This entrance is where the main entrance to the old
Robert Sayle store
was located. The brash sign over the entrance and the gates
were designed by the
Cardozo Kindersley Workshop.
Inside, the mall is fairly standard and consists of a large
covered lobby over three floors with stores on either side
on the lower two levels.
