Cambridge 2000: Cambridge Leisure Park: Clifton Way: Travelodge hotel
A bold colour statement, the other side is also brightly
coloured, in shades of brown. This is part of the
re-development of the old cattle market site, and is
situated on the other side of a large square from a
leisure centre.
Proctor and Matthews were the "concept" architects for
the hotel (i.e. responsible for the overall design) and
CMC Architects were the "executive" architects (i.e.
responsible for the build).
Although located only a couple of hundred meters as the
crow flies from the railway station (a natural source of
customers), the actual transport connection to the station
is rather long-winded, by foot or vehicle, although that
might improve in future.
