Conduit Head Road: Spring House

Cambridge, England: Conduit Head Road: Spring House (Colin St. John Wilson)
(maps showing location: Google Streetmap Multimap )
Date photograph taken: 28 July 2000
Date built: 1967
Architect: Colin St. John Wilson

The best of the buildings in the city by the architect (who is perhaps best known for the British Library building in London). The house was built for Christopher Cornford, then Dean of the Royal College of Art, and a great-grandson of Charles Darwin, so it is sometimes called Cornford House. It was built in the garden of the original family house to the north.
