In theory this is the main entrance to Newnham, but most people would consider that to be on Sidgwick Avenue. The gates are bronze, unusual for a Cambridge college.
Newnham has some of the finest grounds amongst the Cambridge colleges, but is one of the poorer colleges and has had to sell off some land.
Newnham is still single sex (female).
