This contains reception rooms on the ground floor and a lecture theatre on the upper floor.
A few years after this was built the Howard Court block (just visible at the left) was added, and over a decade after that the courtyard was finished off with the addition of the Howard Theatre, all in the same classical style for which Quinlan Terry is known.
