Distinguished mostly because it is located in large grounds and can be seen across these grounds from Trumpington Road. It was originally called Leighton House and was built for Robert Sayle, who when he first arrived in Cambridge in 1840 lived above and then next to his store, but moved here in the late 1860s with his family.
