Jesus Green: line of Plane trees

Jesus Green is one of the more pleasant open areas in the city because it has this particularly beautiful row of London Plane trees (Platanus hybrida), which were planted around 1913.
It all looked rather different around a year later when some snow had fallen.
Even now the local government plants many trees around Cambridge but a fair portion of them are snapped in half by vandals.
